Guest guest
Hi everyone I got some recent test results back. I have been supplementing iron due to previous low ferritin level, but now my iron levels are high and I must discontinue the supplementation. This is something I have dealt with before. I asked my new doctor about raising ferriting, and he told me that low ferritin is die to the fact that I have hashimotos antibodies. He said he does not know the mechanism, but that the hashi's causes low ferritin, so he goes by the complete iron panel to assess iron supplementation. Has anyone heard this?
