Guest guest
Mikell, When I went into ptl and had my placental abruption at 28 weeks, my ob had me visit the NICU in our hospital. I was so glad that I went - they made me feel at ease that if my baby came early they would be doing their best to help my little one along. I learned so much from that tour. I am glad that your little girl is doing well. I know bedrest was tough for me. I am a go type person but I followed the ob's and peri's orders and Noah made it much longer than they thought. I am saying prayers for you. Hard to believe that this time last year - I started bedrest - hard to believe that my little peanut is now 9 months old. Time is sure flying. Kathleen t-shape Hospital/NICU tour - preg mention Dear ladies, I went today for a tour of our local hospital's L&D plus the NICU (by wheelchair I must add). I've been to the L&D too many times already to visit other people having babies, so I was more interested in the NICU since I suspect we will have to go there. For any of you pregnant ladies who think you might deliver early, I would strongly recommend visiting your local NICU. I have to tell you that it was immensely reassuring to me. The nurse was so helpful and informative. She showed us the different areas where the babies are and one that is the same gestation as mine. I couldn't believe how big he was! I didn't realize that this little girl inside of me is growing so fast! The most reassuring thing was to see these little babies born at 24+ weeks that are just thriving! I always worry about what if she comes early. Now I know that she will be well taken care of. Just wanted to share this. Best wishes, Mikell, 34 t-shape 27 wks, 6 days
