Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am new to this board - glad to know it is here. I was recently diagnosed with a bicornate uterus during my 8 week sonogram. The embryo is apparently implanted in the left horn. The Dr. was reluctant in conveying to me the risks associated with such a condition - aside from premature and breech delivery. After the first trimester passes, what exactly are the risks in a bicornate pregnancy? Does it matter whether the baby grows in a horn or in the center of the uterus? I'm particularly worried about the risk of second trimester miscarriage due to a ruptured sac or placental abruption, and just want to know how great this risk actually is so that I can mentally prepare myself should it happen. Thank you for your responses in advance.
