Over the last couple of days I've been feeling a UTI (bladder infection) coming on and had been drinking gallons of cranberry juice. It seemed to really help at first, this morning I felt good but by noon I could tell I was in big trouble. I called my doc and she sent a prescription of generic Cipro to the pharmacy. Is there going to be any issue with my HC or T3 while I take this for the next 3 days? My temps have been 98.4 - 99.0 today. Also should I stress dose HC if it doesn't interfere with Cipro? I haven't had a UTI in 25 years but over the weekend I threw a birthday bbq bash for my 2 sons and was drinking cola's like they were going out of style and now I remember why I haven't had one in 25 years! There's something about soda's that mess with my bladder and causes infection. 25 years ago I used to drink them all the time, finally the doc catheterized me and said to knock of drinking the sodas...you can bet I will never drink another one.<<Posted by: "hunter10039@..." hunter10039@... hunter1003999Thu Jul 15, 2010 7:44 pm (PDT)KemI used ton have constant UTI'sthen a good docc inwash. state J wright, steered me to d-Mannosenow you can get it at www.vitacost, or Tahoma Clinicboth onlineand since I use a p-ro[phylatic scoop once a day inmy coffee, I seldom have that problem in the last 3yeRS...A SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR KEEPING THE PAINAWAY....AND ALSO....cIPRO CAN DAMAGE THE TENDONS OFYOUR BODY ALMOST PERMANANTLY .......AS CAN MANY OTHERRELATED fLUROQUINaALONES IN THAT ANTIBIOTIC FAMILY"------- Original Message -------From : KemTillford[mailto:Losinit4good (AT) hearts4humanity (DOT) org]Sent : 7/15/2010 7:28:26 PMTo : RT3_T3 Cc : Subject : RE: Urgent need help!Over the last couple of days I've been feelinga UTI (bladder infection) coming on and had beendrinking gallons of cranberry juice. Guest guest
I agree with the d-mannose. Lost of good research on it but not sure if it works once you already have one. Try to google it and see. You could also try natural antibiotics like olive leaf extract and grapefruit seed extract and get some cranberry PILLS, not the juice. They are so much more concentrated and many have studies showing that they get rid of the infection. I don't think it's possible to drink enough juice to get enough of the actives contained in the pills and all that sugar is hard on your adrenals. But all that said, if your UTI is really bad right now, you might have to just take the Cipro for 3 days. UTIs are nothing to mess with. I used to get them all the time and they can turn into serious bladder infections if not treated. I took Cipro for the short period indicated and no, it didn't ruin me or cause any ill effects and I was in a LOT of pain because my UTI was so bad. Guest guest
I pesonally can vouch for how it (D-Mannose) DID work for me...when I had horrifying painful UTI. You just have to take it more frequently thru the day, to achieve success. the one scoop a day is ONLY prophylactically, for when you do NOT have symptoms. ------- Original Message ------- From : keickholt13 Sent : 7/16/2010 7:43:18 AM To : RT3_T3 Cc : Subject : RE: Re: Urgent need help! Guest guest
Yes you have to take it every three to four hours during the day to get rid of the problem. It might take a few days or not even that. It all depends. It does work. I pesonally can vouch for how it (D-Mannose) DID work for me...when I had horrifying painful UTI.
