Guest guest
Hi, You might want to see a RE since they have more training and specialize with fertility issues. They do a lot of myos too which is your best option. The reason this was all found was a lack of success in achieving pregnacy and my age. I am going to be 31 and my husband is 37 in august. His tests came back normal. He is a swimmer!! Guest guest
hi all. i've been recently diagnosed with a uterine septum after i had an early miscarriage. now what do i do? this explains a problem in another pregnancy and i feel certain surgery is the right route for me. but i want to get the safest procedure, of course, and with the least discomfort, obviously. what did you all do? did anyone leave their hometowns for the procedure? where did you go? why lap over transvaginal, for example? thanks. heidi
Guest guest
dear heidi, paula and gwenn, thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. it really helps. the information about the different procedures and that surgery isn't always the best approach was thought provoking and helpful. i'm busy reading the research literature now and seem to have found that much of the literature studies women who have had obstretical complications and that's the reason they are getting the septum diagnosed and removed. in these cases, the obstetrical outcomes seem fairly dismal and definitely call for the surgery. then 3% of women have septate uterus, never know it, and have normal obstretical outcomes (the study with sterilized patients). this leaves me fairly confused. can they tell you with the mri and such what your chances of a good obstretical outcome will be? the advice to find the best doctor possible struck me as true and important advice. thank you gwenn. i am so sorry that you were mistreated and given an overly aggressive d&c and hope that you're finding good support on the other site and wish you all the very best of luck for a recovery and healthy pregnancy. i live in syracuse, new york, which has a teaching hospital with a highrisk center. perhaps i will get a referral there. however, i am willing to travel to nyc--only five hours from here--for the best available care. gwenn, you said you doctor was particularly good? could i possibly get his/her name and information from you? all the very best wishes, heidi > > hi all. i've been recently diagnosed with a uterine septum after i had an early > miscarriage. now what do i do? this explains a problem in another pregnancy and i > feel certain surgery is the right route for me. but i want to get the safest procedure, > of course, and with the least discomfort, obviously. what did you all do? did anyone > leave their hometowns for the procedure? where did you go? why lap over > transvaginal, for example? thanks. > > heidi >
