Guest guest
Hi Nick Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my situation. I appreciate it greatly and can see that you have a wealth of knowledge and experience with this. It is all very new to me and I am wading through it with everybodys help. The best way I can answer your questions that you have posed below is to supply you the link to my just uploaded and updated files which have my labs and my story. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/files/Our%20Labs/GoldCoastAussieMan/ If you could take a look, this might reveal something to the experienced eye and it will certainly answer these questions in detail. 1. How do you feel?? What brought you here?? 2. Your labs were hard to read on the end of the reposted mail as they> had fallen off lines.> > It looks like FT4 was high in range as was FT3 and RT3 high.> > Were you on any thyroid meds at that stage??? 3. What is leaping out at me is the FT4, it's too high. That in itself would produce more RT3 as a result. While it's possible that it's been the low Ferritin causing blocked conversion and caused this to happen I would be interested to look at another line of approach first. Your cortisol labs are fine, a nice profile that many people would love to have yet your temperatures are all over the place, this is not typical and I have not seen it before, it says to me that there is something strange going on causing a lot of adrenal stress. I would be interested to see TSI antibody levels, they are missing. They are one of the antibodies that causes hyperthyroidism. I think something is stimulating your thyroid other than TSH and nobody has looked as symptoms are hypo. Your FT4 is too high for your TSH and that is what is puzzling me. Your symptoms are hypo but in this case the RT3 is protecting your body from the elevated FT4. I am struggling here to work out what's going on, yours is very much out of the normal pattern, please remember I am not a Dr, just someone who has looked at a lot of labs! The reasons for FT4 being that high while TSH is 1 need to be identified before treating RT3 I think. Nick
