Guest guest
How much are you on and for how long? if T4 is totally supressed you would be wise to taper off it to give your T4 time to buid to what ever level it can come up to. >> >> >> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >> http://faqhelp.webs.com/ >> >> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ >> http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ >> > I am going to stop taking Cynomel for the time being. I was almost diagnosed with Hashimoto's Encephalopathy yesterday (i.e. the doctor thinks I have it but wants to eliminate a few more things). I've been having trouble with the T3 (fast heartbeat, chest pain) and have reduced my dose, but I think I need to deal with one problem at a time and the reverse T3 problem is going to have to wait. > > Can I just stop taking Cynomel or do I have to wean down gradually. If I wean, at what rate do I reduce it? Guest guest
I've been on it 7 weeks. My highest dose was 68.75 (if I'm adding right) and I cut back to 37.5 a few days ago when the chest pain started. When I take it, I experience high pulse and chest pain for a few hours, then that subsides until I take more. I think it is best to stop altogether until I get more info from an iron panel and also regarding the neurological problem. How quickly can I lower my dose? Thank you for your guidance and support.
