Hi Everyone,

I am so glad to know that there is a group like this - I feel my anxiety

decreasing as I write. Has anyone experienced - or known anyone who has

experienced super high cholesterol (mine's 290 and I'm vegan), weight gain,

extreme difficulty in passing stools (sorry if this is TMI) and hypothyroidism?

Over the last couple of years despite my diet, excercise, and trying to stay

healthy - my body was going downhill. My doc did labs and found that my RT3

levels are very high - and placed me on Cytomel 3 days ago. My first day I took

12.5 mcg 2 x (to titrate up to 75 mcg's a day) that day and got such a horrible

headache and heart palpitations I thought I was going to have a stroke (I'm 55).

I called the docs office the next day and they said split each 25 mcg pill into

quarters and start slowly. This is the third day and no headache! Anyway -

I've been reading about Armour and really think that my high cholesterol,

constipation (believe me, my life has gotten to the point where I live on prune

juice and nothing solid)and inability to lose weight are all somehow related to

my thyroid. Am I just crazy? Will Cytomel help me with these symptoms? I asked

my doc to be on Armour but he said I have to get my RT3 under control first.

Thoughts appreciated :-)
