Guest guest
Welcome to all the New Members that have joined in the last 2 weeks. This is a great group to belong to. You'll get answers support and a glimpse to prepare you for progression if it comes along. Hats off to GEO. That last post about basal ganglia sounded like it was straight from a MD,PhD. I'm truly impressed at how you have waded through the medical abstracts. Knowledge is our only way to health. For the newbies I recently found out that my PLS is at least partially if not all due to a reactivation and dormant cerebellar growth of the mono virus, Epstein barr. When my scooter broke 2 weeks ago and I had to walk full time on the walker instead of easing my legs back into full time; the body stress exacerbated the virus attack by day 3. It has taken me 2 weeks to get back to where I was. Now Daisy Dog is very sick. we're talking swollen lymphs nodes everywhere. The vets suspect lymphoma which the virology group will know is usually caused by EBV but I'm taking the high road and assuming its not cancer but a fulminating EPV infection.....she got from me. Because the cancer and infected cells look similar even the biopsy may not tell the difference. For over a month I have been having vivid dreams that I recall in explicite detail. I'm not on any meds which list dreams as a side effect. I'm definitely not pregnant unless you've seen a Star in the East (pregnancy causes more dreams). Parkinson patients do report vivid dreams when on their med. I can only hope mine signal a period of great creativity OR indicate my brain is regenerating as the virus dies away. The colors are very vivid. It's worth going to bed to see them. One piece of jewelry on a lady's lapel had saphire, garnet, and ruby. Any ideas? One dream I was in a medical waiting room. OJ Simpson was sitting with me and would not leave me alone. He was very controlling. I woke when he started talking to a Divisional Vice Pres of Pfizer. Another last night - I parked my car and walked through town to the ocean where a cruise ship was docked for a sales rep meeting. I was so excited about walking that distance without even a cane and was telling all my previous co-workers who could have cared less. In real life Pfizer 401K dept did decide I was no longer disabled and not eligible to participate in 401K. After a month I'm 401K disabled again without ANY explanation. Thank Goodness Payroll and Benefits didn't follow suit. Anything resembling normal after this life I live would be dull and boring Eva
