Guest guest
Hello, I am a new member, 46 yr old female, who has suffered with hypo symptoms for years and never had proper treatment. Now that I've found this group and the adrenal group, I believe I've found the right path. My labs are as follows: Ferritin 27 10-291 T3, Free 2.5 2.3-4.2 T4, Free 0.8 0.89-1.76 TSH 2.59 .51-6.27 RT3 220 Iron 74 35-150 TIBC 329 250-450 Fe%Satura 22 20-50 Magnesium 2.0 1.8-2.4 Sodium 136 136-145 Potassium 4.5 3.5-5.5 Glucose 74 74-99 Calcium 8.5 8.4-10.4 Bilirubin 0.9 .1-.9 ALT 32 30-65 AST 20 15-37 Alk Phos 45 50-136 Phosphorus 3.2 2.5-4.9 WBC 6.9 4.5-13.0 RBC 3.95 4.10-5.10 Vit D, 25 Hyd 24 30-80 I didn't include all blood test items, hopefully I've included all you need, Looks like I need to start on Iron right awayto get my levels up and will need T3 meds when iron rises. I have been taking a little sea salt, about 1/4 tsp each day and some potassium w/magnesium minerals to help treat my foot/legs cramps. Looks like I'll need to test adrenals, as I do get a little lightheaded when I stand up from a squatting position. Should I discontinue the salt and minerals on the day of the adrenal saliva test only or sooner? I've been treated with Synthroid, Armour in the past and initially felt better, but after a couple of weeks, I'd feel worse. I've had endometriosis, infertility, cold hands/feet, anxiety, hair loss and low energy most of my life and I'm ready to move on and figure this out. Seen Gp's, endocrinologists you name it and no one has really helped. I'm sure I'm in perimenopause, as I believe the drop in hormone levels is triggering some mild depression. Thank you for all the time and help you give. It's encouraging to find others with similar complaints and making improvements. Robin
