Guest guest
Val, during our phone consult you thought I might have an RT3 problem. I got the tests you recommended. The results are: 7/30/10 on 2.5 grains Erfa sublingually Free T3 2.8 pg/mL (2.0-4.4) Reverse T3 168 pg/mL (90-350) The ratio is 16.6. Nick said that the RT3 is low and that the ratio is bad because of my low FT3. Do you think I need to go to T3 only or could I try raising my Erfa? I'm currently taking 2.5 grains Erfa, 27.5 mg HC. You thought I might be having absorption issues which wouldn't surprise me since I have celiac and hashis. The thyroid labs we discussed were: 6/29/10 on 2 grains of Erfa sublingually FT3 2.4 (2-4.4) FT4 0.84 (0.82-1.77) TSH 2.78 (0.45-4.5) Ferritin 67 (12-150) Iron, Serum 105 (35-155) Iron Saturation 45 (15-55) TIBC 233 (250-450) UIBC 128 (150-375) I'm taking 18mg of BB iron based on your recommendation. Other supplements I'm taking are Betaine, B-complex, B-12 (methy), Vitamin C, K-Dur (40 MeQ), 2 teaspoons of unrefined sea salt, vitamin k2, calcium, magnesium, vitamin d3. I'm the reason I'm hesistant to go to T3 only is that I'm not sure that mexican Cynomel is gluten free. I'm trying to contact Grossman Pharma to confirm this. Some celiacs on this forum have not reacted to it, but some celiacs on another forum did appear to have a gluten reaction to it. I have the source list and I know there are other T3 options without a script, but they are much more expensive and finances are an issue at the moment. Thanks for your input, > > >Free T3 2.8 pg/mL (2.0-4.4) > >Reverse T3 168 pg/mL (90-350) > > > >I came up with a ratio of 16.6. Is that right?
