Guest guest
Jen- I completely agree ... I had retained placenta AFTER A CESAREAN!! Talk about weird! Luckily I passed it 4 days post partum and did not require surgery but I think that having it in my body delayed my milk coming in ... I didn't even have colostrum till day 5 and then got only 1 ml per 15m pumping w/a hospital grade pump. My milk didn't come in fully for 7 days. The placental tissue I had retained was the size of my palm! How the heck did they miss it?? Best wishes with your pg!! I had a vag. birth but a retained placenta. IUGR wasn't diagnosed " officially " but the placenta had to be removed surgically after my daughter's birth. This was traumatic at the time but I had no side effects or issues afterwards.
