I am SO glad that it all worked out for you also. I know, you're thinking how could the docs possibly miss that!!?? I've heard it can really develop into a serious infection if not removed correctly. The docs who delivered mine in the operating room totally played it down. My old OB also didn't make much of it. I now think it was done as a d & c for me immediately following delivery and my new OB agrees when I described what I remembered. Sorry it caused your milk to be delayed. I pumped and pumped with that medela hospital grade pump (the blue and yellow one) while in hospital and was fortunate I had colostrum the next day. Hoping the next time around is less frightening. I feel so much more informed this time around. I just posted a belly shot pic in the photos section of the site.
