Guest guest
Hi Ladies-- I would love some advice. I am now 19 weeks pregnant with #2 (#1 was my loss, in which I delivered vaginally @37 weeks). I am starting to think about whether I will try to deliver this baby vaginally or have a c-section. In either case I will only be going to 38+ weeks (g-d willing). I delivered my other baby with relative ease, but since then I have had resection surgery. I wonder if this makes me at higher risk for problems (i.e. uterine rupture) during labor. Also, can a septate (or formerly septate) uterus be less effective at contracting, etc.?? Generally, I just want advice/opinions on the best road to take. I am leaning toward the c-section, to avoid the possibility of fetal distress, plus a long scary, painful journey of labor that I may not really need, given all that I have already endured, etc. But---they say the risks of c-section (major surgery?) for the mom are way higher than labor. I am more concerned about the baby, but just want to be knowledgeable before I make a decision. Thanks--- Jen, 36 SU with a BU dip resected 11-15-04 19 weeks preg. with #
