Hi again-

Thanks again for all your advice and help! Its so wonderful that

there is a network like this to refer to when you have questions--I

think personal experience provides far better advice than dr's who

learn from books!

Anyway, I have been feeling better since the lap/hyst surgery

Monday, still having some pain and am now only taking the Ibuprofin

400's to treat that (ran out of percocet:( ). I thought I had

stopped bleeding yesterday--but surprise--its back again today. The

pain feels more like bad period cramps now--dull but annoying--and

the bruising is turning all different colors but is less sore than

before, but still somewhat uncomfortable.

For those of you who have been through this, when will I be " normal "

again? I keep thinking that I'm ok, but then I try and do something

like bending or lifting something and I am cruelly reminded that I

am still healing. Like today, I tried to reorganize some files in a

file cabinet and it started hurting more intensely. Just curious on

some average times it took before you could really get back to your

normal life.

Thanks in advance for your help!

hi amanda

for me it was 2 weeks to feel 'almost normal'

and 1.5 months (since surgery) to be completely normal

try to take it easy and don't worry, i'm sure you'll be

feeling 'normal' again soon - sometimes i thought i would never feel

like my old self but it happened so keep going, you'll get there :)
