Just a quick little post to announce the arrival of on July 1

at 8:39 am. He was born via C-section--elective repeat though he was

head-down I just didn't feel comfortable attempting a VBAC. He was born at

36w6d

and weighed 7 lbs, 3.5 oz and was 20 " long!! Our section was scheduled for

7/14 but I went into labor at 2:30 am 7/1. Breastfeeding is going well, he

sleeps more than his older brother did at this age. Canaan seems to love being

a

big brother and asks to hold " Maffew " and rub his head (which I am trying

heartily to discourage!). He even shares his toys with him--we'll see how long

that lasts! I'll try to post a couple of pics now.

The doctor examined my rudimentary horn and said it is smaller than half the

size of a golf ball. She said she would be surprised if it is functional at

all, but I will discuss it more with the OB that does my 6-week pp check-up

(the OB that did the section left the military yesterday). I'm still going

to request an MRI and based upon those results will ask for the horn to be

removed if there is even a question of endometrial lining in the horn.

Becki

28, UU, solitary kidney

Mommy to:

ds, Canaan, 3/2/03

ds, , 7/1/05
