Hi! I am new to the group. Today is my first day. I just found out

that I am pregnant and I have a bi cornate uterus. I am not familiar

with all of the terms that you guys use from reading the messages but

I hope to get better educated by continuing. I am told that my uterus

is a bit rarer than bi cornate however. I have two cervixes as well.

I can't think to wear tampons because they don't work. I had a test

done to see the size of each uterus and one is substantially smaller

than the other. Thankfully, the one that is the largert is the

easiest to get to. The other one, you have to dig to find the cervix.

Doctors have always told me that one side would probably not be able

to carry a baby so let's hope for a pregnancy in the larger side. I

have no idea what side this pregnancy is in this time. I've already

miscarried early on in March. I am confused though...when you're baby

grows so does your uterus so what difference does it make if that

side is smaller??? If anyone has been in a similar situation please

send me some advice. I'm also a little nervous about having another

miscarriage. Thanks for the support.

hi brandee,

i have SU, and was told at teaching hospital at

Harvard that everything is going to stretch alot and

its hard to know how the uterus is giong to behave

until it grows. I have SU with one bigger cavity and

one smaller cavity- and currently have a 21 week

pregnancy in the smaller cavity. to date- it looks

like on U/S that the pregnancy is kind of smushing the

other side over- basically expanding into the larger

cavity. but again they say its hard to know until the

pregnancy progresses. im juut praying like crazy that

i can hold it. i dont know alot about bicornate so

hopefully someone else can aanswer your questions.

best wishes to you in your preg-

HWT
