Guest guest
I'm 54, been peri since my early 30's..and no it won't last forever although it can seem so. I don't know what your thyroid results were but before considering a hysterectomy or any doctor who suggests it, might want to see an anti aging doc or gyn that specializes in bio identical hormones to replace what you've lost. We can trick our body into believing it's much younger. Regarding T3, I couldn't find one who even understood RT3 issues much less how to treat it so I finally started self treating and am feeling better than I have under the care of doctors. I have 2 good docs that were willing to treat me with Naturethroid/Armour and take care of my adrenals with HC but the RT3 issue evaded their understanding. Sometimes you gotta take your own health into your own hands. With the help of Val and Nick and buying my own T3, life is getting much better for me;-) My gyn also has me taking natural bio identical hormones and I'm feeling younger and better now.<<Posted by: "avilesc62" avilesc62@... avilesc62Tue Aug 17, 2010 4:25 pm (PDT)I am 48 yrs old, going on 49 soon. I have listed my labs here and have gotten many responses. My question is...this alien I have morphed into in the last couple of years...is this forever? I mean if I cannot find the right doctor or the right amount of T3, or some MIRACLE is this something that I will deal with forever or will it like many of my doctors have told me get better once I get beyond peri-menopause? Or when or if I get a hysterectomy? I mean when or if will this change as I get older? This is a serious question as it only seems to be getting much worse with whatever I do. And whoever or whatever doctor I go to.>> Kem in Eugene <º)))><

Guest guest
Thanks Kem...this stuff is just getting so much worse..and I really mean that! Seams like ever since I started doing alternative meds it has only gotten worse. I am taking bio hormones along with adrenal support, now supplementing with iron also and it just seems crazy on certain days. I have nothing better to do then keep trying but many days I want to just chuck it all out and do nothing! And take my chances...but I won't. I will try to still find another doctor but it was just me venting. I appreciate the shout out. Thanks. > > I'm 54, been peri since my early 30's..and no it won't last forever > although it can seem so.
