Guest guest
I was diagnosed SU in August and just got in to the surgeon I was referred to this Friday (I hate HMOs). He decided that we'd do a hyst/lap on Nov 23rd (apparently since I'd already ovulated this month?). To keep me from ovulating next month and apparently to cut down on the blood supply to the uterus (and septum if it is vascular) I have to get 2 shots of Lupron, which he said basically put me into menopause. Has anyone else had these shots? If so, what can I expect? The word " menopause " scares me! The surgeon also said that I would need a ballon inserted for a week and then would have to be checked a month later to make sure they got the entire septum. The entire recovery process apparently will take 2 months, during which time I will be taking high doses of estrogen (to rebuild my lining?). Does this all sounds fairly standard? Seems like a major production to me! But I guess if it raises my chances of not having another miscarriage, I'll be thrilled! diagnosed SU 3 m/c- no babies yet!
