Guest guest
Just curious if there are any stats or %'s out there regarding the liklihood of needing a second surgery after your septum is removed? And when a second surgery IS needed, is it usually because all could not be removed the first time (and did they KNOW that the first time), scar tissue has formed, etc.. I had mine removed in July, my RE was confident that he had removed it all, a balloon cath was put in place for a week followed by a month of hormones, my RE says that it is very rare for a second surgery to need to be performed when they feel it was completely removed the first time, and a balloon and hormones are issued for healing. Is this accurate? It just seems that I hear alot on this board about second surgeries needing to be done, and it scares me. Is there any reason to think that this first surgery wasn't a success??? Any info is appreciated.
