Rhonda,

> ovulating?

I'm not sure. My dr was hesitant at first...I had to have a bunch of

infertility testing done. Then the bloodwork showed that I wasn't

ovulating, so she prescribed 50mg Clomid Days 5-9. I was on it 2 mo.

and got pg. both months. (1st month was chem pg)

Good luck with your dr next month!

I would say that if you are seeing a specialists at a clinic then they

will more than likely prescribe right away. They did with me, but I

also had trouble concieving before (even with two previous

miscarriages). At my clinic I went in every other day from days 7-14

and they would check my estrogen, LH and progesterone to see when i

would ovulate. I also go an ultrasound to check my follicle size which

can also indicate if you are nearing ovulation.

I would talk to your dr. Sometimes dr's are hesitant to prescribe

clomid because it can thin the endometrium and usage month after month

can inhibit implantation of the fertilized egg. Also it increases your

chances of conceiving multiples which makes for a high(er) risk

pregnancy.

I conceived on injectables and wasn't even supposed to conceive the

month I did, because I ovulated prematurely, but sure enough here I am

24 weeks with twins.
