Guest guest
Hello, I have UD and I'm 27 weeks preg right now. I'm at the stage where I am feeling the baby move a lot. The funny thing is that it always seems to be on the left side (he is in my left uterus). My stomach has gotten big all over and I have heard that the pregnant side just takes up all of the room but it really does seem like the baby is sticking to one side. Had anyone had a similar experience? I'm not worried, it's just interesting. Another funny thing. I just had an ultrasound and the baby is measuring two weeks ahead! That was the last thing that I expected with UD. This whole thing has been such an adventure! M. 27 weeks preg with baby Eli (#1)
Guest guest
hi sarah, im ~25 wk preg in an SU (partially communicating/not resected) with baby in the left cavity. when i am standing up i look like a normal pregnant person (big all over)- but when i lie down flat, my stomach looks like a mountain, with a pointed peak on the left side (!) all kicks are felt and seen on the left side (expect for those down near my cervix- which feel more toward the right, actually). all braxton hicks - clearly like a hard ball on the left. the right unoccupied cavity is still seen on ultrasound. im glad your baby is growing stong! (2 weeks ahead! go baby!) may i ask how often you are getting fetal measurements? they have been so focused on the length of my cervix during U/S my doc hasnt ordered any fetal measurements for weeks- maybe since around wk 18- but id really like to know that hes growing ok. does anyone know what the standard is for MA folks in that regard? i would think growth restriction might be of concern and thereforoe provide rationale for more U/S fetal monitoring than is typical. best, heidi SU-not resected/cerv dupl/vag seputm, ~25 wk preg
Guest guest
- I am UU and my baby was 99.9% of the time on the right side. I mentioned it to the OB and Peri constantly, but they didn't say much about it. I felt the baby on the left only twice. (And one of those times on the left, the baby shifted and was lying transverse and had my Drs. a little on edge...) Anyways, it was always the one side - and sometimes you could see it - the baby would be all balled up and pressing out! I did notice the baby would move a little to the center if I was lying on the other side (must have been the gravity!) The Drs. were curious as to seeing my anatomy, but I think the c- section was a bit disappointing in that it looked fairly normal despite the UU. Wonder if your baby will be left-handed ! Hope everything is going smoothly for you and your pregnancy. Then the baby shifted > Hello, > > I have UD and I'm 27 weeks preg right now. I'm at the stage where I > am feeling the baby move a lot. Guest guest
Judith, Hi Thanks for your reply. That really is an amazing coincidence. Let's keep each other posted on how the preg. is going. Is this your first? Where are you located? I'm in Chicago. M.
