Guest guest
Hello everyone! I'm new to this group. You all seem to have lots of information to share so I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. Let me give you a quick back story so my question makes some sense. In February 2005 I went pre-term labor at 21.5 weeks that could not be stopped. We lost our little boy and no one had any answers for us. Then in June, I had a m/c at 7 weeks. My new OB (I switched Dr.s after the lack of attention at my first Dr.) thought I had a BU. After an MRI and HSG I found out I had a very severe case of BU. As it stands 5 RE's have said surgery will make it worse. They are now saying IVF is my best chance. They are telling me it will let them place the embryo in the larger horn (which they tell me isn't that much bigger than the other one). They will only put in 1 embryo seeing as 2 could make for quite a terrible outcome. Has anyone every heard of using IVF to assist with a severe BU? Am I crazy for wanting to try IUI first? Does anyone have a happy IVF or BU ending? I'm pretty nervous about using IVF – but I am also getting tired of waiting to move forward in the process. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any advice, Becky
