Guest guest
Hi All, I am about to start my T3 only treatment to clear my RT3. I have read a lot about it, but I do have one more question: I know that T3 only is necessary to clear RT3, but I am a bit worried that my body will never be able to produce T4 on its own again and that I will have to be on T3 only all life long, once I have started it??? Is that the case? Thanks for your input!! Merith

Is that the case? It depends on the state of your thyroid, if it is healthy then it will just get a holiday, if it's not healthy then it was no good anyway so no difference. If you can clear the source of the RT3 then you may be able to go back onto natural or cycle off completely, a lot of people never find out why they had it and stay on T3. I feel better on T3 than I ever did on Natural. Nick
