Guest guest
Hi everyone! I was just diagnosed with UD by my new ob/gyn. I had been having problems with symptoms of a bladder infection (pain with urination primarily) and was referred to a urologist. The urologist referred me to this ob/gyn due to the fact I was having continual pain with intercourse and her treatments were not helping that. So...I go to my appt. and come away going what?!?!? My dr. was actually very knowledgeable about this and knew what it was immediately during the examination. She said I have a vaginal septum, two cervices, and two uteri (the left is definitely larger than the right, but we're not sure by how much). I'm not planning to TTC right now because I've only been married about a year and we want a little more time, however, we will probably start within a year (I'm hoping for this time next year maybe). Regardless, the dr. said there was no reason to remove the septum unless I chose to or continued to have pain during intercourse. She was also sure that I had UD due to the fact that I had two cervices. She recommended that before we started TTC that I have an u/s and possibly x-rays done to determine the size of each uterus and have a good look around. She also told me about the risks with pregnancy, and wanted me to be aware of those but she didn't seem too concerned since we were not in the proces of TTC now. At the time, I had not heard of any of these anomalies and was comfortable with her diagnosis and recommendations. However, the more I read here and elsewhere, more questions pop in my head. So if anyone can help, my question is mainly, if you have two cervices, does that mean you are definitely UD or can you have another type of anomaly? Thanks for all the help and encouragment! --------------------------------- Yahoo! for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
