Guest guest
Hi, Can an rT3 problem cause Anxiety? I am having hypo symptoms and anxiety, which just started. Is there anything one take do to help this while waiting for rT3 results to come back? Iron? I have a Thyroid supplement which I am worried might just cause more rT3 by making the Thyroid more active. Thanks!

Guest guest
Hi Val, Welcome Back! Jen's given us some of her background info, (probably could use more, RT3, iron, etc.), but here's the link anyway: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/49220 > > Hi, > > Can an rT3 problem cause Anxiety? Guest guest
Hi, I am on HC, down to 20mg per day. I was having high cort symptoms and I feel better on a lower dose now. I posted my thyroid results and it looks like I am hypo. My rT3 results have not come back yet... I am going on vacation for a week so I am just trying to see if there is anything I can do to reduce the anxiety before I go. Overall my energy is a little down, but I am still active...so not that bad. When I was on a higher does of HC I was having worse hypo symptoms than when I lower. Things like carpal tunnel, tired, high blood sugar and lack of concentration / a weird headache behind my eyes. I still have the headache a little... I have not tested iron or other things like potassium, etc. I can do that when I am back from vacation. My last thyroid labs are: Total T4 - 76 Range 59-154 TSH 3.05 Range .27-4.2 Free T4 14.4 Range 12.0-22.0 Free T3 4.6 Range 3.1-6.8 Thyroid Antibodies 66.6 range 0-115 = negative Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies 26.4 less than 34 is negative Diane told me to wait until I get my rT3 results back..which is fine. Just wondering if I can take anything to chill out the anxiety for the week I am away. Thanks! Jen > > > Hi, > > > Can an rT3 problem cause Anxiety?
