Guest guest
Hi- I've been a regular at NTHA and am now working at switching to Naturethroid from Cytomel. I just recently began the switch, substituting 1 grain NT for 12.5mg Cytomel. I am having hypo symptoms - constipation and migraine. Those are completely related for me (constipation leads to migraine). I had migraines for YEARS, while undermedicated on both T4 and Armour. Cytomel had ended that for me, but sadly its back Any thoughts about why I'm getting hypo despite almost equal T3 in NT? Is it because it is *almost* and not enough? Maybe I need more NT? I'm wondering if I should just add 1 more grain NT to give me a good start and then drop extra Cytomel later on? I've been taking Cytomel 37.5-37.5-37.5 prior to starting the switch. Now: Cytomel 37.5-25-37.5 and NT 1 grain (I am fully committed to making the switch, as I've had some negatives with Cytomel. I'm also planning to conceive later in the year and feel better about being optimized with a natural thyroid than synthetic.) Thanks!
