Guest guest
Hi Meri-Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. DH dropped our laptop and we haven't been able to get online from home. Anyway, not sure if you've already seen your docs for any follow up, but I thought I'd respond just in case you hadn't. >the injections didn't work so we decided to do the IVF route (it seems so fast but I'm producing lots of follies w/ very little growth) I know very little about IVF...we were just starting to explore this option, but can't share anything from personal experience. I know that there are several ladies here who will be able to help in this area. There is a lady (also a UU) who posts on the cafe board. She had a difficult time responding well to stims-very few follies. The good news is that she is pregnant now. >so..they sent me for the HSG which showed the UU...I'm waiting to >hear from the MD and will likely have to go for an MRI, correct? >What questions should I ask them? For me, an MRI was the next step. Some docs suggest doing a lap/hyst, but I have not had one. As far as questions, I'd try to take things in steps...1-how are we going to handle the ttc process? and then once we take care of that one, 2-how will my pregnancies be managed? I'd ask about IC, (incompetent cervix) ptl, (preterm labor) and IUGR (growth restriction.) From what I've read here, the following things seem pretty standard: having a baseline cervical measurement towards the end of the 1st trimester, seeing a perinatologist starting around 15 weeks or so, having biweekly scans to check for changes in cervical length (rapid shortening is a bad thing.) For me, it really helped for me to have my doc explain all of this and let me know how they would handle everything. You're really going to want to find a doc who will be proactive and very careful with your pregnancies. Be sure to let us know how things are going...I'll be watching for an update!! Take care,
