Guest guest
, I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a rough time of things. Hopefully there will be minimum scarring. The reason that I had the lap/hyst was because of scarring due to a D&C. My uterus was 95% scarred prior to the surgery. The remodelling of my uterus was kind of a by-product of having the scarring removed. After the surgery, my RE did a follow-up HSG and there was not any scarring remaining, so there is hope for you! You can see my HSG in the folders on the MA page. Does yours look like mine? When I first saw it (at the HSG) I was shocked. I had to ask the tech where my uterus was because it didn't look like there was one. My uterus is still small, but apparently it can stretch since I'm almost 28 weeks pregnant now. As for the insurance, they should be covering it as surgery on a birth defect, not infertility. Many women here have told stories of their insurance company giving them problems because the claim was filed as infertility and not for a birth defect. Mine was filed to remove intrauterine adhesions. If you have to have another surgery, it should be filed to remove adhesions as well. I hope you can get the money from the insurance company! It's awful how they can add insult to injury. I would definitely fight that! I wish you the best and hope that you can get back to ttc soon!
