Guest guest
Hi! My name is Di and I'm new here. I don't know where to start. I am 55 years old and for many years I have had low body temperature, low blood pressure, low pulse, hypothyroidism and celiac disease. Currently, my worst symptoms are very early morning waking, pounding heart, fatigue, and water retention. Lots of others symptoms too though. I have been on medical leave from work and have to be back in less than a month. My saving grace has been naps but I can't do that when I go back to work. My saliva lab tests from ZRT were: Estradiol 1.0 (0.5 - 1.7) Progesterone 9 (12-100) Testosterone 13 (16-55) DHEA 4.6 (2-23) Cortisol morning 1.2 (3.7 - 9.5) Cortisol noon 1.6 (1.2 - 3.0) Cortisol evening 2.1 (0.6 - 1.9) Cortisol night .6 (.4 - 1.0) I am now awaiting results of a 24 hr urine cortisol test, fasting glucose and fasting morning glucose. So far I have tried with no help....seriphos before bed, adrenal glandulars with adrenal cortex, dhea, and hormone replacement (estrogen and progesterone). My usual dose of thyroid hormone is 150 mcg of Levoxyl and 37.5 - 50 mcg. of Cytomel. My body does not convert t4 to t3. I have tested high in the past for RT3. Went hyper very fast on cytomel only and doc told me to quit. Lab ranges after that were normal. I have been under stress for years due to many things but the main stressor was having my 22 yr. old daughter pass away from cancer after a four year battle. I know I don't handle stress the way a normal person does. Going to see a regular MD this Friday for the fasting blood test results. The endos around me don't believe in Cytomel. The one doc I do see that does like Cytomel doesn't like blood tests and uses muscle testing which doesn't seem to be very accurate. My insurance doesn't cover him but he is open minded. I feel like when he said....I only want to be able to sleep 8 hours a night. I wake up at 3:00 a.m. sharp like an alarm clock has gone off. One night I exercised in the evening and I did sleep much better. I think that raised my cortisol. Thoughts, ideas, help??? Thanks, Di
