Guest guest
Hi, I seem to recall you saying it was good to get an iron panel with a CBC w/differential and an ESR. What is ESR? I am trying to locate it on this lab slip from my doc and can't find it. Thanks so much,
Guest guest
Hi , " Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) The ESR is widely used in clinical medicine giving information of a general character with the same usefulness as body temperature, pulse rate and leucocyte count. It is a measure of the presence and severity of inflammatory and other morbid processes. " see http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/esr/test.html Some Labs automatically do a differential and an ESR when a CBC/FBC is requested. Some don't & require them to be actually marked or written separately. To find out what your Lab does you would have to ring them.
