Guest guest
Hi Kari,I am currently 20 weeks pregnant after my resection in January and had a preventative circulage put in at 14 weeks, this was after recommendation from the surgeon who performed my resection and my obstetrician.my cervix has never been a problem before or reason for my previous losses but my cervix appeared " floppy " after surgery so we went ahead without hesitation! 1 less thing to worry about. Guest guest
I'm just the opposite. I have a resection done 12/04 and am currenlty 24 weeks pg with twins...so far my cervix is fine...and dr did not recommend a circlage. But everyone is different. Then again my cervix wasn't floppy (hehe I like that description) to begin with, so I imagine it's on a case-by case basis. I know my dr doesn't like to do them, because if done later on it can trigger contractions, infection and other stuff... But I am neurotic about my cervix and make him check it every two weeks. serena > > Hello.
