Guest guest
Hello, I don't have the same age factor you do, but I do have a UU that was diagnosed as part of an infertility workup. I would say that if your other problems are treatable, basically so is your UU. It can't be " fixed " with surgery or anything like that. But now you know you have one and you can take extra precautions for that. I am very, very sorry for your losses. There isn't really any way to guarantee it won't happen again. Is there any indication they have been caused by the UU? Perhaps it was just " bad luck " and you won't have any problems next time. With a UU, your main worry will be preterm labor. I had some preterm labor symptoms with my son, beginning at 32 weeks. I'm now 34 weeks pregnant with our second son and haven't had any PTL yet. I'm just a week away from the point where they don't even try anything beyond hydration to stop labor. But it's good to be aware of the symptoms and make sure you get checked out if you need to or feel like you need to (like something just isn't right). Have you discussed your concerns with a good doctor? I hope you have someone you like and feel comfortable with that is knowledgeable on the subject. Perhaps scheduling an appointment with a high-risk doctor would help you feel better? Good luck with your decision. I had two miscarriages prior to my successful pregnancy and went to a fertility doctor for help. He found hormonal problems, problems with the length of my cycles, and blood flow issues (which turned out to be from the uu) I was on bedrest for the whole first trimester. I didn't know about the uu so I thought all my problems were treatable. Now I feel like my window of opportunity for another child is closing and I am very afraid both because of the uu and because of my advanced age. I had a very difficult time emotionally with my miscarriages. If anyone has had similar experiences, please let me know. Thanks!!
