Guest guest
Hi ladies! I am so excited to hear the great news. I am praying for the both of you and your families. I really needed to read your emails today. I am UD, we've emailed before, and DH and I just started trying again after 2 early m/c. I'm a little scared but I won't stop until I have a baby of my own. I'm also curious as to when you were put on bedrest. Did anyone have any complications in the beginning like bleeding etc? I know that early m/c isn't really a statistic of UD, so I guess I've had bad luck. My RE tells me that later m/c are more related to UD but I say, just because that may be doens't mean it has to happen. You guys are an inspiration to me and I hope I will have my own story to tell soon. Any advice or experiences would be much appreciated. Best wishes and I will keep praying for you guys. Guest guest
Hi Brandee, Thank you for the well wishes! I would be happy to share my experiences with you. I was having a very normal pregnancy with cervical length checks every 2 weeks. Never had any bleeding or cramping. My cervix held steady at >4cm until 26 weeks. At that check-up, my cervix had shortened to 1.9cm, I was placed on bed-rest that day. The very next morning, I woke up with severe contractions that were coming every few minutes. That is when dh rushed me to the emergency room and I was sent by ambulance to another hospital where I was treated and monitored for pre-term labor. I stayed in the hospital from Saturday morning until Monday evening. Did you get measurements of both uterine cavities before pregnancy? The RE that did my lap/hyst told me that a normal pre-pregnancy uterus usually measures about 9cm. My left side measured at 8cm and my right measured 7cm. Thankfully, I conceived in the left (bigger) side. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that you will have a happy story to share with all of us soon!
