Guest guest
Hi Mikell, It WAS a wacky pregnancy! No " Baby Story " for us. (Boy, I go through periods of obsession with that show ). We are not decided if we will try to have another child or not. My dh is more on the " not " side of the argument. I had to have other tests due to medical issues (some caused by the meds). EKG showed something abnormal w/ the heart prior to taking the terb, possible kidney and liver issues, etc. He is very concerned about me not being able to handle a loss, which, of course, is a possible outcome due to my history. Family is also concerned I wouldn't make it (as in pass away!). I happen to think that scenario is very UNlikely, but they bring it up and ask who would take care of my ds. Peri said can't say how a second pregnancy would progress. Could be normal, could be worse. A number of women I met in the hospital went into PTL EARLIER with subsequent pregnancies (except one woman I pin some of my hopes on!). The other reason that gives me pause is that dh is 45. I would wait until Brenton is about to enter school full time in case bedrest was necessary again - that would put him at 50. It took 7.5 years to get pregnant w/ our ds, so hmmm..... I do feel a lot of guilt over Brent being an only child due to me. Dh insists he will be o.k. about it, but I wonder about that quite a bit. Well, that was a long explanation. I've posted my quandary a few times (here and on a listserv) to try to weed out some success stories of no bedrest second pregnancies I think it might not be the pregnancy hormones causing you to think about your next child. If it is, I must have had a lot of them still circulating weeks after Brent was born, and would be in the " crazy boat " right with you! I hope you are adjusting to the bedrest o.k. I'm not sure if you have found any more exercising resources. I couldn't move much, so don't have exact recommendations, but I've heard something from senior citizens (that have limited mobility) about videos/DVD's that have simple exercises. Maybe a search on Amazon might find something? Just a guess. I'm so happy to see you posting your updates and doing well. Keep your chin up. You are an encouragement to everyone, and I'm sure especially to other women that have a t-shaped uterus. /UU/32 > > , > > I had no idea that your pregnancy was so difficult! I dropped off of the board after my m/c for a while and I think that was while you were struggling with your bedrest. I'm so glad that everything went well for you and that you have a healthy little boy! Do you think that you will go through it again? This pregnancy isn't over yet, but we're already talking about the next one. I guess pregnancy does make me think a little bit crazy! Hope you are doing well! > > Best wishes, > Mikell, 34 > t-shape > >
