Guest guest
hi there this is our first month TTC after my 2nd surgery (uterine septum + scar tissue removal) - i'm on CD23 now and both my temps and the ovulation monitor (clear blue, electronic one) say i haven't ovulated yet - i've been reviewing my charts of the last year and i know i had some cycles like this one - where i ovulated maybe on CD19 or CD21 but i'm getting VERY anxious and nervous as days go by and still no news .... should i worry about it? is there anything i can do to 'fix' this? or should i just run to see my RE and start thinking about interventions (IUI? IVF?) before it's too late? i thought we were going to try naturally until december but i'm freaking out that there's something wrong and/or i'm already too old .... (although my FSH was normal last July) ...... thanks for listening gabi, 38 SU, resected x2
Guest guest
Hi Gabi, I hate to say it, but I think the most helpful thing you can do to " fix " a long cycle is to reduce stress as much as possible. TCOYF says that stress can delay ovulation, and I've certainly witnessed it in myself. I'm sure surgery counts as stress! The book also says that most women have at least one anovulatory cycle a year, so there's a chance that this is one of them for you. I'm sure you will be okay following your original plan. Just take care of yourself, and try not to worry. I know it's easier said than done! a 33, UU w/noncommunicating horn TTC #1 since 03/2005 > hi there > > this is our first month TTC after my 2nd surgery (uterine septum + > scar tissue removal) - i'm on CD23 now and both my temps and the > ovulation monitor (clear blue, electronic one) say i haven't > ovulated yet - > > i've been reviewing my charts of the last year and i know i had some > cycles like this one - where i ovulated maybe on CD19 or CD21 but > i'm getting VERY anxious and nervous as days go by and still no > news .... > > should i worry about it? > is there anything i can do to 'fix' this? > or should i just run to see my RE and start thinking > about interventions (IUI?
