lethal lee..i have iron question too!!

lee...my daughter just got her iron panel back and as i read i see you have iron issues...if this is off topic i apologize and you can email me personally...i am not sure if hers is something to be concerned with..she is 18yrs...she has been taking hemaplex to raise her ferritin which was low....this is her first full iron panel..we have no family history of iron issues or hemachromatosis...she had been off iron supps for 5 days but had not restricted her iron foods necessarily..val suggested looking at this iron closer for hemachromatosis...but i guess i am wondering if these numbers point to that and if so can it wait for followup test or should we do it now..she is no longer taking iron for a while .anbd she is leaving for college this week......here are her numbers if you dont mind commenting...thanks so much!!...dawn

Iron serum....132 (35-155)

TIBC.....256 (250-450)

UIBC...Low.. ..124 (150-375)

Iron Saturation.. ..52 (15-55) %

Ferritin...112 (13-150)
