You do not have to be fasting for the RT3 test BUT you should be fasting for the

iron tests.

At minimum, I would get RT3, FT3, FT4 and ferritin plus an iron panel showing a

% saturation result. (% saturation should be 35-45 for good thyroid

utilization.)

Also avoid iron supplements for 5 days prior to the iron test.
