Guest guest Posted August 28, 2010 Report Share Posted August 28, 2010 You do not have to be fasting for the RT3 test BUT you should be fasting for the iron tests. At minimum, I would get RT3, FT3, FT4 and ferritin plus an iron panel showing a % saturation result. (% saturation should be 35-45 for good thyroid utilization.)
