Guest guest
I do not have experience dealing with Hemochromatosis folks, what I've typed in below is general info. I do not know if your having Hemochromatosis and iron avidity will affect these guidelines or not, this is something you need to determine, hopefully with your doctor. If it is Natural Thyroid you are on, starting at 75mcg T3 from 8 grains NT is correct according to Moderator Nick's web page. http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/starting1.htm I believe Moderator Val doses 4 times a day, Moderator Nick 5 times a day. Which way works better does vary from person to person. Have you made sure your adrenals are in good shape? So important for good T3-only progress. Here's the link to Nick's adrenals page. http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/adrenals.htm > > I posted recently with labs very high reverse t3. I have hemochromatosis that actually I am at about 3 months apart now. I still have low feritin but my saturation has climed due to iron avidity, about 35%. So my doctor wants me to start on t3. to clear high reverse t3. I was on 8 grains, so would I start at 75mcg spread out 4 times a day? > > labs reverse t3 358H range 90-350 > free t3 6.4 h range 2.4-6.0 > > Iron avidity--way your body will try to compensate for very low ferritin > you can tell by mine ferritin 25, satuation 35%. I was going every 6 weeks for the last year now at 3 months. >
