Guest guest
Hi Ann: Post-clearance looks like un-hypothyroid If you are: 1. post-clearance 2. on a correct dose of T3, and, 3. other issues (adrenals, iron, etc.) are being managed correctly Your hypo symptoms should be GONE. Your having Lyme disease will unfortunately "muddy the waters" somewhat, as so many Lyme symptoms are similar to hypo symptoms (fatigue, etc.). Regarding the iron % saturation:if you have Serum Iron and TIBC results, you can calculate % saturation here:http://easycalculation.com/medical/Transferrin.phpIf % saturation doesn't appear on your test results, it is possible one of the needed tests was not done. Here's a good link to more iron test info: http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/tibc/test.html--- In RT3_T3 , "is263" wrote:>> > > > I started on T3 on February 22, so it has been about 26 weeks. I started slowly because of the low Ferritin level. I am now at 80mcg/day. My pulse rate had been around the 60's (used to be 50's) until I started the generic form of Trileptal a couple of weeks ago, then it went into the 70's. (I have Lyme as well, so it is hard to know what symptoms are thyroid and which are Lyme.)> > For saturation levels on a lab report, am I looking for TIBC and UIBC, or is it something else? I just had a bunch of lab work done. I don't see either or those things and am wondering if they are labeled as something else. (Or maybe that wasn't tested.)> > I am still a bit confused about what "clearance" will look like. I have been tracking temps for about a year. They are starting to be around the 98.6 mark. I have also been dealing with adrenals, and will be doing another saliva test. I don't feel well, but I have been battling a sore throat, so that may be why. I have been exhausted the last three days. Do I stay at this level of T3 until my throat gets better? > > > > > > Also, my Ferritin had been 13 when checked in February. I have been taking about 160 and 190 mg of Blue Bonnet Iron.
