a - UU and removal of Rud Horn

Thanks for the input, Amber! I guess we won't know till the

lap how connected my left horn is to the right, but right now

the guess is that it's not. So maybe removal will be less risky?

The MRI didn't show severe endo, but I didn't have contrast

pictures taken (the radiologist's mess-up), and it's my

understanding that there would be no guarantee it would

show it anyway. The RE said sometimes it would, though.

Don't know if I could have retrograde menstruation for 20

years without any endo. Maybe the endometrium isn't quite

as developed as it might be. Every imaging I've had has been

right around the week after AF, so they may just not have

seen how it progresses.

Good luck with the IVF process! Sounds like it's coming

up soon for you.

I just thought of something else about ENDO that might

be of interest to you. One of the members of this

forum (who is having a break right now) named Janine

(email - Garry Jehan) has a UU and non communicating

Rud Horn the same size as the UU and has never had any

problems with endo, despite there being no outlet for

the bloodflow (other than back through the fallopian

tube). So, it appears possible to have a rud horn like

mine and not have any endo.

Best wishes

Amber, 32

UU/BU with rudimentary non-communicating horn firmly attached

Huh! Thanks for the tip, Amber! I guess it is possible, then. I can't

understand how that could be, but sometimes none of this

stuff makes much sense. I will do an archive search on endo,

too, then, and maybe I can glean some more information.

If anybody has any tips on recovery after the lap, I'd be

really glad to hear those too. I'm planning to do all the

laundry beforehand and buy some really easy dinners

and paper plates (no dishes to do!)....
