Can you speak to the pharmacy rather than the Dr?? Can you get the Dr to give you Cytomel and then you know how much you are taking Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com For lots of good information of adrenal issues http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com/ and the adrenal group on http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Hi Nick Ive been told by the Administrator at my thyroid doctors office that the Pharmacutical Compounding Company doesnt deal with patients directly, only their doctors. And my doctor is soooo hard to get hold of. Unfortunately there is no cytomel available to buy in New Zealand. I have to get it compounded for me by an independant company, and there is no subsidy from the government (like there is for other drugs, costs $150 per month). It is a specialist only drug and there have to be special circumstances for you to be on it (eg, have tried other thyroid treatments without success). Im not even sure there is slow release in the capsules Ive been given. They seem to taste/ smell differnt as well (kind of like Marzipan). Feeling terrible. isnt it dangerous to go from taking T3 every day to having none at all? Im scared Im going to crash out! Im going to talk to my GP (Family Doctor) tomorrow morning and see if I can get her to emphasis to the Administrator that it is VERY important that my thyroid doctor addresses this issue ASAP. I have ordered some cytomel from an online company, but it is not going to get here for at least 20 days, if customs even let it get through. Im actually scared that there might be some other drug altogether in the capsules I have. Im a very pale greeny/ yellow colour at the moment and look like death warmed up. > > > > >Feeling sick and sorry for myself right now! > > Sounds like the compounders have got it wrong for dose or content. > > Can you speak to the pharmacy rather than the Dr?? > > Can you get the Dr to give you Cytomel and then you know how much you > are taking > > Nick > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com > > For lots of good information of adrenal issues > > http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com/ > > and the adrenal group on > > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ >
