Guest guest
You MAY be able to reduce your RT3 by just bringing up the iron, so it is worth trying , but I certainly have NOT seen many successes this way and T3 onyl is a guaranteed way to knwock the RT3 down. but even that yoiu will need ot raise your iron so one could be prep for the other. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > I have Hashi's and I've been on 2.5 grains for over a year, and on NDT for two years. Looks like I've had an RT3 problem the whole time, though I didn't realize it until a few weeks ago. A mod recommended that I go on straight T3. So, I had another lab test and my ratio is now 18.96. I'm so close and I'm wondering if I should just work on my iron instead? I still have a lot of hypo symptoms, but I'll have to self treat if I go on straight T3. > > July 2010 > > TSH 0.011 > FT3 3.3 (2.0-4.4) > FT4 0.95 (.82-1.77) > RT3 174 > Ferritin 67 > Iron 76 (50-170) > UIBC 189 (110-370) > TIBC 265 (228-428) > Saturation 29% (15-50) > > Dec 2009 > > TSH .017 > FT3 3.2 (2.0-4.4) > FT4 .93 (.82-1.77) > RT3 212 > > Thanks so much > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences.
