Yes as long as temps are good the T3 is fine. ANd I do think low

progesterone causes breast tenderness in some women and the increase

will help. BTW I shoot for LUTEAL ranges righ tin the middle of them

wiht my hormones. I do nOT use post meno ranges as thye are generally

too low for best health.

Hi Val,

I recently had my female hormones and T3 tested. Lately my temps are

averaging in good range but I am having terrible low back pain and some

aches that I thought were gone for good. I got to the lab facility and

had problems getting my orders faxed over so the draw was later than I

expected.   I would say that the draw for the thyroid was a good twelve

hours past my dose.

T3 5.2 (2.3-4.2) Is it ok to be this low as long as my temps are

good??   Could this be because of the delay in blood draw?

Progesterone 1.76 I am menopausal.   I have been told by a couple of

Dr.'s that this level needs to be 10-20.   My Dr. DID increase my

progesterone from 100mg to 200 mg's.

Estradiol 96 Again was told that the range should fall between 60-90.

So a little high but he said that is was fine as long as we got the

progesterone up.

My breasts have been very tender lately. Could the low progesterone

possibly be the cause?? I hope this last question isn't too much off

topic. I just don't know what might be causing my tenderness.   I have

not had these type of problems in a few years.

Thanks,

Cindy

Ok, glad to hear the T3 is alright. I was just very concerned with my Estradiol being top of range and the progesterone being near the bottom range. What numbers of the estradiol range do you shoot for? Are mine too high in your opinion or is it alright to be near the top? Luteal range is 50-150 with this lab.

Thanks again Val,

Cindy

With your lab's ranges I woudl want to be at 100-125 so oyu are not too

high, but yuo do need progesterone balanced with it.
