Guest guest
hi val, i'm post-clearance and struggling to find my optimal dose, today i had to shave 12.5mcg off my normal dose of 75mcg (i cant say that was ever my optimal dose, seemd to be at times, but at others it was rocky).i've weaned off hc bc i was getting crazy high cortisol symptoms, which seemed to be getting in the way of my t3. while weaning and afterwards, I never once got a low cortisol symptom, and my temps remaind very stable. actually today having some high cort symptoms during middle of day(2nd day off HC, 2nd day of period). and now today off HC my BP is 110/68, and rises to 112/71, always dropped a little while on hc, weirdly enough. anyway, i was getting clear high cortisol symptoms today and i dont know what could be the stressor, unless 75mcgT3 was just too much?? seems like an intolerance issue... but ive been taking tons of B12, and supplementing iron, and actually had too high of an iron at one point, stopped supping, and then started again moderately after new labs had my iron sat at 27%, and iron at 75(with binding capacities at the low end of the range) sooo, anyway, i'm going to run some tests in the next few weeks, as soon as i can work them into the budget, and i just was wondering if you could answer a few things to make it as efficient as possible... (my wishlist includes aldosterone, potassium, sodium, iron panel, thyroid panel, vit b12, vit D) and a saliva test in a few weeks as well. questions 1) what is rbc potass and how essential is it? should i do it inSTEAD of reg potassium, or in ADDITion to it? 2) can i do aldo and sodium/pot at same time, if so no salt prior, correct? ... just wondering bc ive seen you say that you dont have to stop takng salt before testing sodium, but do befor aldo. 3) how useful is ferritin and transferrin when it comes to iron if i get iron panel(iron, sat, tibc, uibc)? r they necessary? 4) could being low in vitD prevent T3 optimization? i know i was low before, but i've been doing about 10,000IU daily. 5) is there a particular Blood glucose monitor you recommend? i would like to keep track of mine as another way to keep tabs on my cortisol. i was in walmart looking around for one and the onetouch seemed nice and small, but the strips are so expensive. is there a cheaper one you like?
