Questions about different types of uterine anomalies

Hi All

I'm a little confused about all the different types of

uterine anonalies and was wondering if someone could

please explain a couple of things to me, particularly

in relation to UDs.

My understanding of a UD is that it is a Double Uterus

yes? Some UDs have double a cervix and vagina and

others don't.

My understanding of a BU is that it is a uterus that

is split down the middle with a septum that cannot be

removed. Sometimes BU's have a dip on the top on the

outside of the uterus at the fundus that can vary in

length (ie from rabbit ears to heart shape).

My understanding of an SU is that there is a septum

down the middle that can mostly be removed. Some SU's

also have " dips " at the top on the outside and they

are called SU/BUs.

Anyways, assuming I am correct with the above, what is

the difference between a UD (with one cervix and

vagina) and a BU? Is each half of a UD generally half

the size of a normal uterus? Or is each half of a UD

the same size of a normal uterus? Is carrying a baby

in half a UD the same as carrying a baby in half a BU?

I have a UU with Rud Horn firmly attached. Is a UU

the same as half of a UD or BU? Would a baby in my UU

be the same as carrying a baby in one half of a BU or

half a UD?

Finally, what do people think about putting

descriptions next to the diagrams on the MA Home Page

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MullerianAnomalies/

I'm not sure who owns this fabulous site (bless) and

whether changes are possible but I was wondering what

others thought?

My UU is sort of like " L " on the homepage but I'm not

sure what the others are and when I'm reading your

emails it would help if I had a picture of what a UD,

for example, looked like (compared to a BU)?

Something to think about. Hope to hear from you.

Cheers
