Guest guest
Trying this email again- didnt seem to go thru on last attempt: Hi All, i have a question for the group regarding labor and vaginal delivery with 2 cervices. Does anyone have experience in this department? for example, women with UD- do both cervices dilate during your labor? I would imagine they both respond to the same hormonal signals but mechanical factors may play some contributory role as well. I am SU- with communication between my 2 uterine cavities, and 2 cervices- 38 weeks preg. I honestly have no idea if my baby has any access to the right uterine cavity (i dont think they can really tell on U/S), the pregnancy is clearly in the left cavity although i feel his head pushing against the right side of my lower pelvis, but which side of the septum his head is on, not sure. they cant visualized the septum anymore during U/S. im wondering if there is any chance in heck im going to have trouble w. vaginal delivery bc of 2 cervices- is that going to be rough on my uterus, or the septum inbetween them? Im wondering if i could even tear the septum between them (given that the baby might have some access to the right cavity). yesterday when my doc went to check my cervix, i honestly dont know if she checked the " correct " (left) cervix (im increasingly spaced out at these appointments and forgetting to ask relevant questions). she said i was BARELY 1 cm dilated (how depressing!) although cervix was at least soft. So, it looks like i am possibly going to be scheduled for an induction- which i have mixed feelings about. any induction stories/ warnings people want to share? any experiences that would shed light on any of my questions above would be greatly appreciated- thanks guys! best heidi
