Guest guest
I'm still feeling absolutely exhausted since starting T3. I'm now on 37.5 mcg. I have low ferritin(39) and am supplementing iron(200 mg). Also, I'm increasing my HC, since Nick thought that my exhaustion could be adrenal related (up to about 30 mg) and due to the low ferritin taxing my cortisol in order to push the T3 into the cells(if I understood Nick correctly). My question is, with my low ferritin, is my taking T3 of any benefit at this time? Should I continue to try and raise it or stay put at the current dose? Or could I even be making the RT3 situation worse? I'm hoping that it might help the ferritin levels, though it continues to make me feel awful, despite having my having raised cortisol. My ratio of T3 to RT3 is 6.7 when last tested about 4 weeks ago. Iron saturation was low(just) per lab ranges. Apart from the exhaustion, my pulse rate is higher(80 as opposed to 60 ish), but hands are still cold when at work(in 72 degree temps). My temp today is 98.4, but very warm in house(84), so hard to tell if a 'real' number. Many thanks for all the great information. Whitmore.
