Guest guest
Hi, I saw your thread with and you talked about when iron numbers (tibc, transferrin saturation, etc.) are too low that someone can't absorb enough iron. I am on a campaign to increase ferritin numbers and taking 300mg/day of iron for this past month. My numbers in april were: iron: 73 (40-175) tibc: 325 (250-450) transferrin saturation 22 (15-50%) ferritin 32 10-232 This was the last test that had all numbers done at once. Newer tests only had ferritin which is still low but slowly increasing. I feel better for increasing the iron and starting the magnesium oil, but when I read the post about not being able to absorb the iron I wondered what you meant and how I would increase my levels if absorption levels are low. Does this mean all the extra iron I am taking is floating around and not getting absorbed? Thanks so much,
