Guest guest
I'm trying to decide if I have a RT3 problem. My labs: FT3 7 (2-4.4 pg/mL) RT3 342 (90-350 pg/mL) FT4 1.63 (.82-1.77 ng/dL) My ferritin is good (I'm supplementing iron). I think adrenals are ok (I've been off HC for several yrs. Still take support.) I'm taking 4.75 gr Thyroid-S a day. Many of my hypo symptoms have gotten better over the last few years. My hair isn't falling out, I don't have cold hands and feet, I've lost 25 lbs, and I have more energy than before. But I still have lots of mucin (thick skin) especially around knees, upper arms, and lower legs. I'm not sure what my temperature is doing, because I don't have a reliable thermometer. According to my ratio of FT3/RT3, I don't have a RT3 problem. But Val has said a FT4 over 1.4 indicates a problem. Thanks for any help.
